
Tsuchiya Koitsu
Tsuchiya Koitsu was a renowned Japanese artist, best known for his woodblock prints of landscapes, particularly those of the changing seasons and serene natural scenes. He was trained by a ukiyo-e master, but developed his style under the shin-hanga movement. Active during the late Meiji and Taisho periods, Koitsu's prints often captured the tranquility and atmospheric beauty of Japan's rural landscapes and iconic landmarks. His landscapes often evoke feelings of nostalgia and calmness.
