Oskar Schlemmer

Schlemmer was a German painter, sculptor, and stage designer. From 1920 to 1929, he was a master at the Bauhaus in Weimar and Dessau, where he also designed its iconic logo. His work focused on the relationship between the human figure and space, often exploring geometric and choreographic harmony. Between 1920 and 1932, he created numerous paintings featuring stylized figures arranged in structured, interwoven compositions. His most famous painting, Bauhaus Stairway, reflects these ideas.
