Charles Martin
Charles Martin, a notable French artist and illustrator, significantly influenced the Art Deco era. He excelled in etching and stencil techniques, showing a refined and joyful approach. From the outset of Gazette du Bon Ton, his work featured distinctive lines inspired by Cubism, lending his figures a subtly angular allure. Beyond magazines like Harper's Bazaar and Vanity Fair, Martin ventured into illustrating literary and musical texts. Charles Martin passed away in Paris in 1934.
