Alexandra Exter

Aleksandra Aleksandrovna Ekster, also known as Alexandra Exter, was a key figure in early 20th-century avant-garde art, associated with Cubo-Futurism, Suprematism, and Constructivism. A prominent Russian-born Ukrainian artist, she influenced the Art Déco movement and exhibited with pioneers like Picasso and Braque. Her Kiev studio drew intellectuals from art and literature. Emigrating to Paris in 1924, Ekster became a professor, and exhibited worldwide until her death in 1949.
