Edward McKnight Kauffer

The graphic designer was born in Montana in 1890, but lived for much of his life in the United Kingdom. Settling in London, Kauffer seamlessly blended influences from cubism, futurism, vorticism, and art déco into innovative designs. His diverse portfolio encompassed commercial projects, books, textiles, and theater, reflecting an enduring commitment to pioneering visual narratives. Returning to New York in 1940, Kauffer continued his impactful career, notably with American Airlines, until his 1954 passing.
